Laura Fletcher, 22, was charged with killing four-year-old Chloe in April after nearly two days of questioning.
The little girl's body was recovered fully dressed from their home in Oakdale Avenue, Wallasey, Merseyside, after Fletcher phoned for an ambulance.
The nursery school pupil had drowned and was laid out on her mother's bed.
Fletcher will appear at Liverpool Crown Court for a plea and case management hearing.
It is thought a trial will be held in October.
